New Media

Advertising is becoming more and more personalized and we have all experienced this at the least one time with personal ads due to GPS coordinates being  sent to our mobile devices or due to our browser history received online. But HELLO we are now moving towards personalised TV commercials. That is right CHCH is offering the option to deliver ads to homes based on the postal codes.
The technology is introduced by Cogeco cable company

This is how it is explained in the Toronto Star Business Section issue date: February 18, 2014

A car commercial comes on and you see it's driving down your neighbourhood street and at the same time your mother who lives in the next town sees the same commercial but driving down her street.

Well production costs will have to be considered since a car dealer may want to feature one car in one  postal code and another in a different postal area.
This type of personalized advertising means for the advertiser greater impact and TV remains in the race.

Jay Leno Swan Song

Jay Leno has been the host of the Tonight's Show for 22 years and has been at the #1 spot for most of that time. In fact he is still the top show host but he is now being replaced by a younger host Jimmy Fallon, who is a talented comedian as well. Jay Leno is one of the top 5 most popular people on television, according to a recent poll reported by "60 Minutes" a show which recently conducted Jay Leno's interview.

Jay Leno on leaving The Tonight Show on 60 Minutes

Jay Leno was suppose to leave the show and hand it over to Conan O'Brien but that was a fail, since the ratings fell dramatically, but Jay Leno says he will not be coming back if the same scenario plays out with Fallon.

He will continue to do live stand up comedy, plus a gig at Hermosa Beach Comedy and Magic Club which he has been doing since 1978, so if you miss him, go check him out there live.
For now the scheduled last airing of The Tonight's Show hosted by Leno will be on February 6th,2014.
So farewell and thank you for the laughs.
